COOKING VERMICELLI RICE (Indian Pasta)
Preparation of Pasta
- From packet, crush them into smaller lengths
- Place the pasta in the bowl drainer
- Add spread able salt
- Fill it with hot water
- Store the pasta in the bowl
- Rinse water out after 10 minutes.
Preparation for cooking
- Peel and cut potatoes into small pieces
- Take sweet corn from the freezer
- From tomatoes tin, put tomato in the blender
Cooking with spices (NB: that when adding spices, stir continually)
- Put cooking oil in the saucepan
- Add teaspoon of garlic
- Add teaspoon of green chilli
- Add teaspoon of sugar
- Add teaspoon of jeera-corrindor (brown) powder
- Add bit of yellow powder
- Add bit of red chilli powder
- Add teaspoon of salt
- Add tomato puree. (NB: this is for adding more red texture)
- Add tomato
- Stir it for 1 minute
Final steps of Cooking
- Put the sweet corn and potatoes in the saucepan
- Stir it for 3 minutes or wait until potatoes nearly cooked
- Put the pasta in the saucepan
- Stir continually until the colour spread.
- Squeeze lemon juice in the saucepan
- Stir it at regularly interval until cooked.
COOKING INDIAN MEAT (Lamb or Chicken Masala)
Preparation of meat
- Cut out fat and make the meat into sensible pieces
- Place the meat in the bowl drainer
- Add spread able salt
- Wash and rinse the meat with warm water
- Store the meat in the bowl
Preparation for cooking
- Cut 1 onion
- Cut 1 potatoes
- From tomatoes tin, put in the blender
Cooking with spices (NB: that when adding spices, stir continually)
- Put cooking oil in the saucepan
- Put onion in the saucepan
- Stir and wait until it get brownish
- Add teaspoon of garlic
- Add teaspoon of green chilli
- Add teaspoon of jeera-corrindor (brown) powder
- Add teaspoon of yellow powder
- Add teaspoon of red powder
- Add teaspoon of salt
- Add tomato puree. (NB: this is for adding more red texture of meat)
- Add tomato
- Stir it for 1 minute
Final steps of Cooking
- Put the meat in the saucepan
- Mix it and then at regularly interval
- When the meat is half-cooked, or bubbling, put potatoes in the saucepan
- Mix at regularly interval until cooked.
Optional
- Pour hot water from kettle for soup after adding potatoes
COOKING INDIAN POTATOES
Preparation for cooking
- Peel potatoes
- Cut it into chunks
- Store in water in the bowl
- Warm the potatoes in microwave for potatoes to get cooked quicker
- Prepare sweet corn (optional)
- Make tomatoes ready from tin
Cooking with spices (NB: that when adding spices, stir continually)
- Put cooking oil in the saucepan
- Add teaspoon of garlic
- Add teaspoon of green chilli
- Add teaspoon of jeera-corrindor (brown) powder
- Add bit of yellow powder
- Add bit of red chilli powder
- Add teaspoon of salt
- Add tomato puree. (NB: this is for adding more red texture)
- Add tomato (amount depends of amount of potatoes)
- Stir it for 1 minute
Final steps of Cooking
- Put the potatoes in the saucepan
- Stir it for 1 minute
- Stir it at regularly interval until cooked
COOKING RICE
- 1-cup rice grain for 2 people
- Wash it and rinse it
- Put in saucepan
- Pour hot water from kettle in the saucepan
- 1 level teaspoon salt
- Wait and stir until the rice is tender
- Rinse out extra water
- Put slices of butter
- Mix carefully
- Cook with slow fire until cooked
