As a person, I am very active and I cant rest in one place. This is why I enjoy all kind of sports. It enables me to
meet new people or old friends. At the moment, I play for our community cricket team called S.P.A . Also I am a member of
(DUKA) Deaf UK Athletics. My personal aim to represent GB in future Championships. Others sports I regularly play is Football,
Tennis, Cycling, Snooker and Pool.....(gasping for breath!)
Talking about football (soccer for you guys overseas), I am die-hard fan of Leicester City and England!! Even though
my parent is from India, I support England with my heart. Even with cricket, rugby or hockey, I will always hope England
will win. If England loses, the most likely reason is that the opposition always cheated!!!
Despite being born and brought up in the UK, I still very much respect and preserve the customs, values and traditions
of our culture. I respect the faith I was born in to even though I may not practice it as much as an avid Hindu, I do take
part in many religious festivals and events.
I graduated from university.....even at the age of 20!! I had some quality times during my
stay at university campus and I will never forget them. At once or twice, I was very depressed because of
few bad lucks I had for example I was due to start in August 2001for work placement for my year out. I was
all packed and ready. I found a house and bought a bike....maybe a "dream" car later. Then a bad news
came just three days before I was due to start my job. The company rang me and told me they wont able to take
me on because they lost a major contract and was unable to keep me on. I was shocked and really worried. To cut
a long story.....I was forced to study my final year in university and achieved a degree of 2.2 although I was 0.5% away
from getting 2.1!! Anyway, someone once told me that if I get through this bad times, I will be a stronger person in
the end.
Right now, after taking a IT Course, I been working for HSBC in Chargebacks department. I started working
there on May 2004 and it been enjoyable working with people.....(wierdos) and facing challenges and most importantly learning
about the finances!
